Hudson Valley Community College welcomes new campus chaplain Cylon George, who replaces Sister Nancy Langhart, who retired in May.
Chaplain George’s duties will be split between Hudson Valley and Russell Sage College; he will commit 20 hours per week to both campuses.
George’s tenure at Hudson Valley began Oct. 3. His office is located in the Campus Chapel, 2nd-floor of the Siek Campus Center. His tentative office hours are Mondays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to noon.
George also serves as the sacramental preparation coordinator and music minister at the Holy Spirit Church in East Greenbush. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in Music and a bachelor of science degree in Computer Science, from Hartwick College. He earned a master of arts in Pastoral Studies from St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry in Albany.
